High Jump
Starts Here.
Biomechanics. Rhythm. Elite takeoff mechanics.
We don't just practice jumping — we study it. Every session is built around the details that separate athletes who clear bars from athletes who hit them.
— About mile high jumps
built from a deep love For the event
Mile High Jumps was created out of a deep love and respect for the high jump. Founder Kelly Faulkner is a former Division I high jumper who has spent years studying the biomechanics, rhythm, and physics that make great jumpers successful.
High jump is a uniquely technical event — the difference between clearing a bar and hitting it often comes down to small details: posture, approach rhythm, penultimate mechanics, and takeoff timing.
Whether you're new to the event or chasing personal records, Mile High Jumps provides focused, high-quality coaching in a small group environment where every athlete receives individual attention.
“I study high jump constantly — film, takeoff angles, approach rhythm, posture, biomechanics. The more I learn about the event, the more I love coaching it.”

— Coaching Philosophy
It's Not Just About
Jumping Higher.
It's about rhythm. Posture. Timing. And understanding how the body produces and transfers force. Every session is designed around these fundamentals — so athletes don't just improve, they understand why they're improving.
Athletes who not only jump higher — but understand exactly why they're jumping higher.

Kelly Faulkner is a former Division I high jumper and the founder of Mile High Jumps. She combines her background as a collegiate jumper with years of coaching experience and a deep passion for studying the biomechanics of the event.
Her coaching approach blends technical expertise with a strong understanding of movement, force production, and athletic development. Kelly doesn't just coach the high jump — she studies it constantly: film, takeoff angles, approach rhythm, posture, mechanics.
She believes the high jump is one of the most technical and fascinating events in track and field — and her mission is to help athletes unlock the details that allow them to jump higher, move better, and compete with confidence.
“The more I learn about this event, the more I love coaching it. I want every athlete to feel that same curiosity — to understand not just how to jump, but why it works.”
Programs for every level
Mile High Jumps is now located at Landow Performance. Registration for summer group training and 1:1 sessions are officially live!
Fundamentals of jumping — coordination, rhythm, body control, and high jump technique in a fun, supportive environment.
We build the movement vocabulary that makes technical development easier as athletes grow and compete.
Technical development focused on approach mechanics, takeoff timing, and bar clearance — in-season and off-season.
Ideal for athletes looking to improve performance or build skills and elastic strength between seasons.
1:1 or small group training for athletes seeking highly individualized technical coaching and accelerated development.
The fastest way to address specific mechanics, fix persistent technical issues, and jump with real confidence.
